KISS Grammar is built on the assumption that if they are taught how sentences work, instead of the isolated rules they are traditionally taught, students will eventually not only eliminate most of their most serious writing errors, they will also be able to use their knowledge to evaluate the style and clarity of their writing. The following menu leads to discussions that develop the ideas presented in Chapter Eight (on errors) and Chapter Ten (on style) of Teaching Grammar as a Liberating Art. In teaching, emphasis should be on the Instructional Material first, then on matters of style, and only last and only if necessary on errors. Note: In developing this site, sections on errors are being written before those on style. That seems to contradict the last sentence in the preceding paragraph, but I need the explanations of errors for links from some of the exercises.
