Aluminum is an abundant metal which has many uses. It comes from an ore called Bauxite. This ore looks like clay and contains several other substances. Workers extract other substances by grinding it and putting it into pressurized tanks. From the pressure in the tanks a mass is formed. This mass is then removed with a filter which leaves only water remaining. After going through several other processes it yields a white, powdery chemical. The chemical formed, alumina, is a mixture of aluminum and oxygen. This is then seperated by electricity and produces a metal. This metal is light, luster, and comes in many forms. The luster of this metal is both bright and silvery.
