Aluminum is an abundant metal which has many uses. Aluminum comes from bauxite, which is an ore. Bauxite contains several other substances, as well as aluminum. Workmen extract these substances from the bauxite by grinding it. Then, the workmen put the bauxite in a pressure tank. The other substances found in the bauxite form a mass, which is removed through filters. Now there is only a liquid that remains. The workmen put this liquid through other processes, until it yields a powdery, white, chemical. This chemical is called alumina. Alumina is a mixture that contains aluminum and oxygen, and the workmen seperate them. using electricity. Finally, a metal is produced, which has a silvery, bright, luster. Aluminum comes in many forms as well.
