Aluminum is a abundant metal. It comes from bauxite and has many uses. Bauxite is an ore, which looks like clay. Bauxite contains aluminium and several other substances. Workmen extract these other substances from bauxite and grind them. It is then placed in pressured tanks. The other substanes form a mass, which is removed. They use filters so a liquid remains. It finally yields a white, powdery chemical. The chemical is alumina. It is a mixture which contains aluminum and oxygen. Workmen separate the aluminum from the oxygen, by using electricity. They finally produce a metal with a luster. The light metal has bright, slivery luster. This metal comes in many forms.
