Aluminum is an abundant (2) metal (1) that has many uses (3). Aluminum comes from (7) an ore (5) that looks like clay (6). This ore is called bauxite (4), but it also contains other substances (9). In order to get the aluminum (1) these other substances are extracted from the bauxite (10) by workmen through a process (2). The first step is to grind (11) the bauxite. Then it is placed (12) in pressureized (13) tanks. The pressure in the tanks causes (3) the other substances to form a mass (14) which is removed (15) by using filters (16). The remaining product is a liquid (17) which they put through several other processes (18). It finally yeilds (19) a white (21) powdery (20) chemical called alumina (22). Alumina is a mixture (23) that contains aluminum (24) and oxygen (25). Electricity (27) is used to seperate the oxygen from the aluminum (26). After all this a light (29)in weight (4) metal is produced (28). This metal has a bright (31), silvery (32) luster (30). This metal, Aluminum (5), comes in many forms (33).
