Aluminum is an abundant (2) metal (1) with many uses (3). It comes from (4) an ore (5) called bauxite which looks like clay (6). Bauxite contains aluminum (7) along with several (8) other substances (9). The other substances must be extracted (10). To do this (1), they grind (11) the bauxite and put (12) it in pressurized (13) tanks. The other substances form a mass  (14) which is removed (15) by filters (16). A liquid  is then left (17) over. Workmen put it through several other processes (18) which finally leave (19) a white (21), powdery (20) chemical mixture (23) containing aluminum (24) and oxygen (25), called alumina (22). The two elements are then separated (26) using electricity (27), a metal is finally produced (28). Aluminum comes in many forms (33), it has a silvery (32) and bright (31) luster (30) and is light (29) weight.
