Aluminum is a metal, it is very abundant, and has many uses. It comes from bauxite, bauxite is an ore and looks like clay. Bauxite contains aluminum and several other substances. Workers extract substances from bauxite and then grind it. They put pressure in tanks to form a mass with the other substances. Then they remove the mass and with the remaining liquids they use filters, and put it through several other processes. The final chemical  is white and powdery and is called alumina. It is a mixture that contains aluminum and oxygen. The worker use electricity to separate the aluminum from the oxygen. The final product is a metal. The metal is light and has a bright silvery luster. The metal comes in many forms.
