Aluminum is an abundant metal with many uses. It is made from an ore named Bauxite. Bauxite looks like clay and has many substances in it, but to get the aluminum out of it workers have to put it through a process. In the process they put it in pressurized tanks, remove all the other substances, filter the liquid, then put it through a few more steps. When the process is complete they have a chemical mixture named alumina. In this mixture is oxygen and aluminum. To get the aluminum out they use electricity and then it forms a metal. The metal is light, has a bright silvery luster, and comes in many forms.
