Aluminum is an abundant metal that has many uses. It comes from bauxite, which is an ore that looks like clay. Bauxite contains aluminum and several other substances. Workmen extract these other substances from the bauxite. They grind the bauxite and put it into pressurized tanks. The other substances form a mass; therefore, they remove the mass using filters leaving only a liquid. They put it through several other processes, which it finally yields a chemical. The chemical is powdery and white, which makes it alumina. It is a mixture which contains aluminum and oxygen. Workmen using electricity seperate the aluminum from the oxygen finally producing a metal. The metal is light with a luster. The luster is very bright and silvery. This type of metal comes in many different forms.
