Aluminum is an abundant (2) metal (1) that has many uses (3). Aluminum comes from (4) an ore (5) called bauxite that looks like clay (6). Bauxite contains aluminum (7) and several (8) other substances (9), which are extracted by workmen (10). These workmen grind (11) the bauxite and place (12) it into tanks that have pressure (13) in them. The other substances form a mass (14) which is filtered (16) out (15) and a liquid remains (17). It is put through several other processes (18) and it finally yields (19) a white (21), powdery (20) chemical called alumina (22). Alumina is a mixture (23) that contains  aluminum (24) and oxygen (25). The workmen then use electricity (27) to seperate the aluminum from the oxygen (26), which produces a light (29) metal (28). This metal has a bright (31), silvery (32) luster (30) and it comes in many forms (33).
