Aluminum is an abundant metal that has many uses. This metal comes from bauxite which is ore that looks like clay. Bauxite contains aluminum along with several other substances. Workmen extract these substances by first grinding them and then putting them in a pressurized tank. The substances remaining form a mas which is then filtered and a liquid remains. After several other processes it yields a white, powdery chemical. The chemical remaining is alumina that contains aluminum and oxygen. The oxygen is seperate by electricity. Finally, a metal with light and luster that is bright and silvery is formed
