Aluminum is an abundant metal that has many uses. It comes from an ore called bauxite, and its appearence is clay like. Bauxite contains aluminum and several othe substances. Workmen extract these other substances by grinding the bauxite then put the substance in pressure tanks, finally they filter until a liquid remains. The bauxite goes through several other processes until it yeilds a white powdery chemical. The chemical mixture is called alumina which contains aluminunm and oxygen The workmen use electricity to seperate the aluminum from the oxygen, this produces the metal, that has a bright silvery luster. Aluminum comes in many forms.
