Aluminum is an abundant metal with many uses. It comes from the ore Bauxite which looks like clay. Bauxite contains aluminum along with several other substances. Workmen, extract these other substances from the bauxite, grind it, and put it into pressurized tanks. The other substances, form a mass which  is then removed by use of filters, leaving only a liquid. It is then put through several other processes finally yielding a white, powdery chemical called alumina. It is a mixture containing aluminum and oxygen. Workmen separate the aluminum from the oxygen by using electricity. This produces a light metal with of bright silvery luster. This metal comes in many forms.
