\-\A year#NuA03 ago my family and I=CS went camping*GerNu01 {in Canada} [RAJFwhere my dad did  something very brave.#PPA02] \-\He saved us {from a black bear.}

     \-\The trip started out {with a three hour car ride.}\-\We arrived {at our camp site} {at 11:00 a.m.} {on Friday} and left=CV{at 11:00 a.m.} {on Sunday.} \-\[LAVFWhile we were camping] my family went hunting*GerNu01[RAVFbecause we had no food left.*GiveR01] \-\The hunt went very well. \-\It went so well [RAVFthat every shot [MAJFmy dad took] was a kill] \C\and we had kept going [RAVFuntill we had one bullet left.*GiveR01] \-\{On the way back} {to our camp} I heard a threatening growl and turned=CV around. \-\Right {behind my dad} was a gigantic black bear. \-\I screamed {at him} \C\and he  turned around. \-\He was so shocked [RAVFthat he pulled the trigger {to his gun}] \C\and it  shot {into the air.} \-\He waisted the last bullet! \-\My dad told us to run*INFDO02 and hide=CC*INFDO06[RAVFwhile he did something.] \-\{From behind a bush} I saw my dad pick*INFDO07 up a huge stick and=CC throw*INFDO11 it, hoping*GiveR08[RNDOthe bear would go and chase=CV it.] \-\{To his surprise} the idea worked \C\and the bear went {after the stick.} \-\As quickly [LAVFas we could] we ran back {to the camp,} packed=CV everything up, and left=CV as soon [RAVFas we could.] \-\We didn't want another bear attack!

     \-\Ever {since this trip} I have respected my dad much more. \-\[LAVFIf it wasn't {for him and his bravery}] my family might not be alive today.
