An abundant (2) metal (1), aluminum, has many uses (3). It comes from (4) an ore (5) that is clay like (6), called bauxite. Bauxite contains aluminum (7) among several (8) other substances (9). Workmen extract these other substances from the bauxite (10). To do so (1), they grind (11) the substance and put (12) it in pressurized (13) tanks. The other substances form a mass (14), which is removed (15). They filter (16) it, then a liquid remains (17). They put it through several other processes (18) and it finally yields (19) a chemical. It is a white (21) powdery (20) chemical, called alumina (22). It is a mixture (23) which contains aluminum (24) and oxygen (25). They separate the oxygen from the aluminum (26) with electricity (27). They finally produce a metal (28) that is light (29) and has a luster (30). The luster is bright (31) and silvery (32). The metal comes in many forms (33).
