      One day, an Eastern University professor visited

{at Los Angeles}. He watched construction work (DO) {on half 

a dozen new buildings}. He inspected new laboratories (DO)

and attended summer classes (DO) {in modern study rooms}.

He walked {across miles} {of eucalyptus-lined lawns 

and athletic fields} {with one} {of the deans}. He was impressed.

     "My," he said[CNE], "just how many students (DO) do

you have here?"

     "Let[Note #1] me see," the dean answered[CNE] thoughtfully,

"I'd say about one (DO) {in a hundred}."
