       A sailor's wife approached the pastor (DO) {of her 

church} just as he was stepping {into the pulpit}, and handed

him (IO) a note (DO). The note said[CNE], "Harold Peat, 

having gone {to sea}, his wife requests[CNE] the congregation 

(IO) to pray {for his safety}."

     The minister hastily unfolded the note (DO), and {with 

his mind} {on the sermon} he was about (PA[Note #1]) to make,

he announced: "Harold Peat, having gone to see  his wife, 

requests[CNE] the congregation (IO) to pray {for his safety}."
