Aluminum is an abundant metal that comes  from bauxite. Bauxite is an ore that looks like clay, which contains aluminum and several other substances. Workmen extract these other substances by grinding the bauxite and then putting them in tanks. The tanks are pressurized so that the other substances form a mass. To remove the mass they use filters, A liquid will remain and they'll put it through several other processes. Finally, a white powdery chemical yields. This mixture is called alumina, which contains aluminum and oxygen. The workmen then separate the aluminum from the oxygen by using electricity. This finally produces the metal.
