Aluminum is an abundant metal with many uses. It comes from Bauxite, an ore that looks like clay. Bauxite also contains several other substances than aluminum. The other substances are extracted by workers. The Bauxite is then grinded, put into tanks, and pressurized. The other substances form a mass which is removed by filters and leaves behind a liquid. After several other processes, it finally yields a powdery, white chemical known as alumina. It is a mixture of aluminum and oxygen which workers seperate by means of electricity. A metal is now produced. It is light, has a silvery bright luster, and comes in many forms.
