     Aluminum is an abundant metal that has many uses. It comes from an ore known as bauxite which resembles clay and contains aluminum and several other substances. The other substances are extracted by workmen. The bauxite is then put in pressurized tanks. The other substances form a mass which is removed by use of filters. A liquid remain is all that is left. After several other processes it yields a white, powdery chemical called alumina.  It is a mixture of aluminum and oxygen. The workmen then use elec. to separate the oxygen from
