Aluminum is an abundant metal which comes from bauxite that has many uses. Bauxite looks like clay and is a type of ore. Aluminum along with several other substances are what make Bauxite. To make aluminum workmen must extract these other substances from the Bauxite. The Bauxite is first grinded and then placed inside pressurized tanks. The other substances form a mass which is then removed before being placed into a filter. The liquidy remains are then put through more processes until it yields a powdery white chemical, alumina. This substance is a mixture of oxygen and aliminum which is seperated by electricity. The final product comes out lightweight, silvery, with a bright luster. Aluminum comes in many different forms this is just one.
