Aluminum is an abundant (2) metal (1) that has many uses (3). Aluminum comes from (4) a claylike (6) substance called bauxite. Bauxite is an ore (5) that contains aluminum (7) among with several (8) other substances (9). Workmen extract these other substances from the bauxite (10) by grinding (11) it, and the adding (12) it to pressurized (13) tanks. The left over (1) substances form a mass (14). When (2) the mass is removed (15) it is filtered (16) and a liquid will remain (17). After this, it is put through several other processes (18). The bauxite finally yeilds (19) a white (21), powdery (20) chemical called alumina (22). This is a mixture (23) that contains aluminum (24) and oxygen (25). Next the workmen seperate the aluminum from the oxygen (26) by electricity (27) to form a metal (28). They finally produce a light (29) metal with a silvery (32) bright (31) luster (30). This metal also comes in many forms (33) other than this (3).
