Aluminum is a metal (1) that has many uses (3) and is abundant (2). It comes from bauxite (4) which is an ore (5) and it looks like clay (6). Bauxite contains aluminum (7) and several (8) other substances (9). Workmen extract these substances (10) by grinding (11) it and putting (12) the ground (1) bauxite into pressurized (13) tanks. They remove (15) the remaining mass and (1) put it through several filters (16) to produce a liquid (17) which is then put through several processes (18) until it yields a chemical (19). This chemical is a white (21) powder (20) called alumina (22) that contains aluminum (24) and oxygen (25). The workmen use electricity (27)to seperate the aluminum from the oxygen (26) to produce a metal (28). This metal is light (29) with a bright (31) silvery (32) luster (30) that (2) comes in many forms (33).
