Aluminum is an abundant metal with many uses in the world. The metal originate from Bauxite, an ore substance that has a clay appearence. Bauxite contains aluminum as well as other substances. Workmen grind the Bauxite to seperate the aluminum from the other elements. After grinding the Bauxite it is put into pressurized tanks. When the other substances are put under pressure they form a mass that is filtered out of the Bauxite. Several other processes are done to the Bauxite to yield a chemical. This powdry, white substance is called alumina, it is a mixture of both aluminum and oxygen. With the help of electricity workers extract the oxygen from the alumina. The final product is a light, bright, and silvery metal used in many forms.
