Aluminum is an abundant (2) metal (1), that has many uses (3). It comes from (4) a clay like (6) ore (5) called bauxite, which contains aluminum (7) and several (8) other substances (9). Workmen extract these other substances (10) by grinding (11) the bauxite and placing (12) it in pressurized (13) tanks. The other substances form a mass (14), which is then removed (15). They then (1) use filters (16) leaving behind a liquid (17), that is put through many other processes (18), finally yielding a chemical (19). The chemical is a white (21), powdery (20) substance called alumina (22). It is a mixture (23) of aluminum (24) and oxygen (25). With electricity (27) workmen seperate the aluminum and the oxygen (26) finally producing a metal (28). The metal produced is light (29) and has a bright (31), silvery (32) luster (30). Today (1) aluminum comes in many forms (33), one such form is a soda can (2).
