     Aluminum is a metal (1) which is abundant (2) and has many uses (3). It comes from bauxite (4) which is an ore (5) that looks like clay (6) and contains aluminum (7). Bauxite contains several (8) other substances (9) also. Workmen extract these other substances from the bauxite (10) by grinding (11) the bauxite and putting it (12) in pressurized (13) tanks. The other substances form a mass (14) which is removed (15) by the use of filters (16). The liquid that remains (17) is put through several other processes (18) and finally yields the chemical (19). powdery (20). The chemical alumina (22) is white (21) and is a mixture (23) that contains aluminum (24) and oxygen (25). Workmen separate the aluminum from the oxygen (26) by using electricity (27).
