Aluminum is an abundant (2) metal (1) with many uses (3). This metal is found (4) in the ore (5) Bauxite, which resembles clay (6). Bauxite contains aluminum (7) along with several (8) other substances (9). These substances can be extracted (10) through a long process (1). The bauxite is grinded (11) and put (12) into pressurized (13) tanks. The other substances form a mass (14), which is then filtered (16) producing a liquid (17). After the liquid is put through several other processes (18) it yields (19) a white (21), powdery (20) chemical called alumina (22). Alumina is a mixture (23) that contains aluminum (24) and oxygen (25). The aluminum can be separated from the oxygen (26) through the use of electricity (27), which produces (28) a light (29) metal with a bright (31), silvery (32) luster (30) that comes in many forms (33).
