Aluminum is a very abundant (2) metal (1) with many purposes (3). It is extruded (1, 4) from an ore (5) know as bauxite. This clay-like (6) substance contains not only aluminum (7), but many (8) other substances (9). Workmen has a process in which they (1) extract these substances (10). so to acquire the aluminum (2). By grinding (11) the bauxite and placing (12) it in a pressurized (13) tank, they can remove (15) the other substances because they form a mass (14). After filtering (16), a liquid remains (17) which is placed through several other processes (18). Finally a white (21), powdery (20) chemical called alumina (22) is yeilded (19). This is a mixture (23) that contains aluminum (24) and oxygen (25). Using electricity (27), workmen can seperate these two materials (26) to produce the metal (28). This comes in many forms (33) and has a bright (31) silvery (32) luster (30).
