Aluminum is an abundant (2) metal (1) that has many uses (3). Bauxite, an ore (5) containing aluminum (7) and several (8) other substances (9), looks like clay (6). When refining aluminum (1), workmen extract the other substances from the bauxite (10). To do this (2) they grind (11) the bauxite and put it (12) into pressurized (13) tanks, the other substances form a mass (14). After they take out the mass (15) of other substances and put what is left through several other processes (18), they finally come up with (19) a white (21), powdery (20) chemical called alumina (22). This mixture (23) which contains aluminum (24) and oxygen (25) is then seperated (26) by use of electricity (27), they are finally left
